Fitread vs Jobscan
Built for UK jobs. 30,551 live, ranked against your CV.
Jobscan scans your resume against a job description you paste and gives a match rate; its Job Matcher labels jobs Top Match or Good Match, and its pages do not state where those jobs come from or how many there are. Fitread ranks 30,551 live UK jobs from companies' own job pages against your CV, with a formula we publish, free.
Fitread and Jobscan, side by side
| What | Fitread | Jobscan |
|---|---|---|
| Live UK jobs | 30,551 live UK jobs, from 2,698 companies' own job pages, updated through the day. | Its pages do not state where its matched jobs come from, how many there are, or which countries. |
| The match rate | Published: skills 70, role title 15, sector 15, out of 100, by our code, never AI. | Priorities listed in order (hard skills, education, job title, soft skills, other keywords); the weights are not published. |
| UK contract work | A contract's day rate beside the role's advertised median, and IR35 exactly as the advert states it. | Not on its pages. |
| Free | Job Match is free: live UK jobs ranked against your CV, best fits first, with the skills that fit on every card. A reading's match score needs no account. | A free resume scan. Its plan page is behind sign-in, so its free limits are not shown here. |
| Paid plan | Pro £69.99 every 3 months with a 7-day free trial, or £34.99 a month: every job that fits, every fix in a reading, AI rewording in Tailor my CV. | Prices on its plan page, behind sign-in on 24 October 2026. |
| Skills missing from your CV | Every skill the advert names, whether your CV shows it, and what adding it is worth. | Missing hard skills, soft skills and keywords for the one job description you scan. |
| Sending applications | Only to company jobs you pick, in Auto apply, with paid credits. Every card opens the advert on the company's own page. | Its own sending feature; its page says each application is reviewed by you before it is sent. |
| AI | Labelled "Written by AI", written around the score, and it cannot change the score. | AI Optimize tailoring, cover letters and summaries. |
